I haz a sad. As most of ewe know, I love baking. I. Love. Baking. In my possession, I HAD only 3 American Measuring tools. 3.
The above pic is 2 of my prized tools. A glass measuring cup, which I had bought at WalMart, YEARS ago. The only reason I have this is because when I first came to tour Italy, and met my husband, I brought this with me and made him a cinnmon crumb cake, and had accidentally left it behind when I went back to America. I LOVE the cinnamon crumb cakes! drool drool drool. And, the Pampered Cheff, 2 cup measuring cup, for either wet or dry measurements. I only have this now because a certain person sent it to me before she pulled all of her dirty rotten tricks. I love these cups. I can use them to make recipes that I find online, and, are American. if I need to convert, I just pull up a conversion chart online. I have no metric measuring tools. None. That is why these are so precious to me. Now, the 3RD one, sadly bit the dust, about an hour ago.
This measuring device is the size of a shot glass, and measured Teaspoons, Tablespoons, Ounces, and Milliliters. This was the most prized to me. I could measure in spoons. Now, I cant. it is the only one I had, and I don't have those neat sets of measuring spoons. This measuring device was sent to me by a great woman. let me tell you, when I dropped it, I screamed, "NNNOOOOOOOO!!!" , and as soon as it busted, I started bawling like a baby. I bawled and cried uncontrollably. it may seem silly, but I LOVED this little glass! It meant the world to me. Now I probably won't bake for a long while, because I have nothing here that will measure out by the spoons. Even the regular soons didn't hold a Tablespoon, or a Teaspoon. Oh, I cried so hard that hubby came into the kitchen, and held me, trying to kiss away my tears. Marvyn grabbed my hand and placed tiny kisses on it. Hubby finally looked down at it and told e that it was only glass. ONLY?? LOL! It was what helped me bake!!!! he said that we would try finding aother, but I just know we will never find another like it here. That was American measurements. Then he said, "I will glue it back!" I told him that I still couldn't use it, even if it were glued. In America, I had almost every type of measuring item a baker needed, and was starting a nice accessory collection, from The Pampered Chef, right before moving. Now, it is all owned by someone that doesn't even know how to use it.ANYWAY, could someone barter with me, for a nice measuring spoon set, or, if you know where to get one, another measuring glass like mine? I will TOTALLY make it worth your troubles, and spoil you.Thank you, Krystal! it certainly is cold in this cave. Last night, I wore 2 pair of socks, and my feet were STILL cold!
